What’s the Scoop

Imagine Walking Every Street in Brighton for Charity

🚶🏻‍♂️Sussex Emmaus in Portslade offers housing, work opportunities, and tailored support to 58 people who have faced homelessness and social exclusion. Beyond providing a place to stay, the charity empowers individuals to rebuild their lives and regain independence through its social enterprises and community life.

Inspired by Brighton's views in the TV series Grace, Sussex Emmaus companion Miles decided to walk all city streets, photographing its architecture. This endeavor is to raise funds for Sussex Emmaus, which supports him after experiencing homelessness. Miles has covered 592 miles since January and is two-thirds through his challenge.

Women’s Rugby World Cup Trophy Stopping By

🏉 Like many of you, I’ve got my tickets booked for the England v Australia WRWC group match at the Amex in September, but on Saturday, the Women’s Rugby World Cup trophy is set to make an appearance in Brighton & Hove, marking the start of an exciting weekend full of celebrations in the city.

Visitors can catch a glimpse of the trophy along Brighton & Hove's seafront, next to the i360. Later in the day the trophy will embark on a journey in the i360 pod, symbolising new heights for women's rugby.

Everyone’s invited to partake in the weekend's festivities, offering a unique photo opportunity with the trophy, engaging in various activities, and potentially meeting some familiar rugby stars. A nice way to start the build-up to the WRWC in 4 months time.
