What’s the Scoop
Pride Seasons Fast Approaching
🏳️🌈 Brighton & Hove's Pride season is approaching, featuring a two-week festival combining Trans Pride and Brighton Pride events. Trans Pride, Europe's largest TNBI event, kicks off on July 19 with a march and speeches, followed by outdoor events and an after-party.
Brighton Pride runs from August 2-3, with a parade themed "Ravishing Rage," celebrating resilience and unity. The Pride on the Park festival in Preston Park will be headlined by Mariah Carey and Sugababes this year, supporting local LGBTQ+ groups through fundraising around the event. The Pride Street Party will be moving to Marine Parade this year for those planning on joining. More Info on the Festival.
Sheep Pull the Wool Over Owners Eyes
🐑 Sheep on the railway line between Brighton and Seaford caused disruptions on Saturday, but were removed after a short amount of time. Passengers had delays of up to 20 minutes before services resumed. Trains in the Southease area initially ran at reduced speeds due to safety concerns until Network Rail removed the sheep. Passengers affected by the delays may be eligible for compensation and should retain their tickets and journey details to support any claims for the baa-d delays.
