Good morning, Brighton. Tis the season of almost too many events to count with the Festival and Fringe in the offing but that won’t stop us from trying.

What’s the Scoop
Local AI start-up Launchyfi shortlisted for awards
💻 Brighton-based AI MarTech startup Launchyfi has been named a regional finalist in the Business to Business StartUp of the Year category at the UK StartUp Awards 2026, which recognise emerging firms across ten nations and regions. Founded in 2025, Launchyfi builds AI tools that enable B2B sales and marketing teams to create personalised, efficient go-to-market campaigns in minutes. More on Launchyfi
The company has rapidly gained traction, building a $700,000 pipeline within nine weeks of launch and is on track to hit $200,000 in annual revenue by the end of April 2026. Launchyfi’s team believes AI will transform how revenue teams operate and is excited about potentially representing the South East at the national final at Ideas Fest in September 2026. Exciting seeing another start-up out of Brighton getting recognition on the national stage. Next year Brighton Scoop 😉
The Muppet Christmas Carol In Concert In Town This Christmas
🐸 A firm favourite in many homes ant Christmas; Disney’s The Muppet Christmas Carol will be shown at the Brighton Centre on Sunday 13 December 2026, with a live orchestra performing Miles Goodall’s original score in sync with the full film. Presented by promoter Senbla, the event invites all ages to rediscover the 1992 cult classic on the big screen, as Kermit, Miss Piggy, Gonzo and friends join Michael Caine’s Ebenezer Scrooge for a festive live-to-film experience.
Adapted from Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, the beloved Henson-Disney film has charmed generations since the 1990s, and the addition of a live orchestra promises an extra layer of Christmas magic, turning a nostalgic favourite into a shared seasonal celebration. Book Tickets Today
Brighton Station Set For Major Revamp
🚂 BHCCC has unveiled plans to upgrade Brighton Railway Station and its surrounding streets to create a cleaner, more welcoming gateway for residents and visitors. Measures include more bins, anti-sticker coatings, and increased cleaning, supported by new jet-washing equipment and dozens of communal bins to tackle the litter which can be pretty grotty in the vicinity of the station entrance.
Working with Southern, Network Rail and Queen’s Road businesses, the council aims to boost the visitor economy and improve first impressions for people arriving by train. Future improvements could feature better pavements and extra planting, such as hanging baskets, to brighten the area. I’m thinking Madrid Atocha Station for inspiration:
