Brighton Gin Celebrates LGBTQ+ History Month
🌈 To mark LGBTQ+ History Month 2026 (1–28 February), Brighton Gin has launched a permanent Progress Pride Flag edition bottle as part of a new line extension. The design centres trans, intersex and other marginalised voices, reflecting the flag’s symbolism of visibility, solidarity and the ongoing fight for equality.
LGBTQ+ History Month has been observed in the UK each February since 2005, following the 2003 repeal of Section 28, celebrating LGBTQ+ achievements and promoting equality. This year’s theme is Science and Innovation.
Founder Kathy Caton MBE said the release reflects Brighton Gin’s identity as the UK’s first LGBTQ+-founded distillery and its commitment to allyship and inclusion. Founded in 2012, the brand also produces an annual Brighton Pride fundraising bottle designed by an LGBTQ+ artist. The 700ml Progress Pride bottle (40% ABV) will remain part of its core premium handmade range. Order 🍸
Madeira Terraces Restoration – Public Progress Update Meeting
🛗 Brighton & Hove City Council are hosting the next public update meeting on the Madeira Terraces Restoration project, and all interested residents and stakeholders are encouraged to attend. This in-person session will include a construction progress update from Mackley, along with programme updates from the council project team. 📅It’s taking place on 25th February 2026 at 5.30pm–7.00pm in the Club House at Sea Lanes, 300 Madeira Drive, Brighton BN2 1BX (opposite the works).
