It’s Madness On The Beach
🎺 British legends Madness will headline Brighton’s On The Beach Festival 2026, taking over the seafront on Friday 24 July. Known for their high-energy, feel-good live shows, the band promise a lively, celebratory performance packed with classic hits. Madness described the event as a quintessentially British summer experience, dubbing the show “Madrophenia” and urging fans to arrive early for the full line-up.
The festival already boasts a strong bill, with Fatboy Slim confirmed for three pre-sale sell-out shows, alongside Moby, whose date has also sold out. The Maccabees are also set to appear, with one final day and more acts still to be announced. The 2026 edition is shaping up to be a blinder after Kaiser Chiefs & Razorlight led the charge in 2025.
£7500 raised for Firefighters Charity
🚒 East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service has thanked local residents after raising thousands of pounds for The Fire Fighters Charity during Christmas events. Eastbourne Fire Station collected over £7,500 through a festive open day and sleigh event, while crews in Brighton raised £4,542.32 during collections around Preston Circus.
In Hastings, Ridge Fire Station’s Santa’s Grotto welcomed more than 370 children and raised £636.79. Fire service representatives praised the generosity of the public and the efforts of staff, volunteers and cadets in supporting the annual fundraising activities. Well done all involved. Firerfighters Charity is a great cause to support.
