šŸ¦ International Tea Day in Brighton

Let's get this par-tea started & football’s coming home... sort of.

Good morning, Brighton. The weather had to break unfortunately just in time for the weekend otherwise it wouldn’t be a true British washout of a bank holiday. It’s due to clear by this evening so all is not lost. Get to the park, get to the beach, get to da choppa… whatever you want to do, just get outside and take a few breaths. Onwards!

In today’s Brighton Scoop:

What’s the Scoop

Time to part-tea

šŸ«– On International Tea Day, May 21st, heritage brand Whittard of Chelsea invites UK tea lovers to celebrate with a special giveaway. Each of Whittard’s 42 stores will offer the first 50 visitors a complimentary pouch of premium loose leaf tea worth up to Ā£9. This event encourages customers to discover new blends from their iconic Tea Wall or pre-packed silver pouches.

The giveaway will start when the ā€œTea Alarmā€ sounds on Whittard's Instagram and TikTok, signalling the secret start time. Customers can indulge in various blends, from fruity infusions to bold black teas. Each of the first 50 participants will be eligible for one pouch.

Follow Whittard on social media and when the time comes, race down (safely) to Whittard at 51 East Street in Brighton.

āš½ļø Brighton Museum & Art Gallery will establish a permanent gallery dedicated to Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club, opening at the start of the 2026/27 season to coincide with the club's 125th anniversary.

This follows the successful exhibition "Brighton & Hove Albion: A First Year in Europe," which exceeded visitor expectations, leading to an extended run. The club’s museum at the American Express Stadium closed due to stadium redevelopments, prompting this new initiative. The permanent gallery will be created in collaboration with the club and Brighton & Hove Museums, celebrating the club's history, its connection with the city, and engaging new generations of fans. Whether you’re a Seagulls fan or not, it’s a great addition to the museum to celebrate how they’ve come in recent years and how they got here. More Info
