Harvey’s Looking After Brighton Bier Assets

🍺 Harvey's Brewery has acquired the trademarks, recipes, and assets of Brighton Bier, which unfortunately ceased operations back in June. Harvey's plans occasional collaborative brews with Brighton Bier, highlighting popular past beers or new creations, clearly labeled and available for a limited time.

However, the upside of this deal allows Brighton Bier a potential return, with Harvey's agreeing to resell the assets at the purchase price if desired. Brighton Bier's director, Stephen Whitehurst, expressed gratitude for Harvey's support, acknowledging the closure's difficulty and the brewery's past achievements. This collaboration offers a respectful nod to Brighton Bier's legacy and potential future which is pretty awesome all round. A cheers to you Harveys.

Kids Summer Reading Challenge Underway

📚 The Summer Reading Challenge is returning to libraries across Brighton, encouraging children to read over the summer. Celebrated with an event featuring children's author James Carter, the challenge's theme, "Story Garden– Adventures in Nature and the Great Outdoors," aims to inspire creativity and curiosity.

Open to ages 4-11, children can sign up at libraries to receive a collector’s poster and track reading goals. Participants earn stickers for completed books and receive a certificate upon finishing. Online participation offers digital rewards, and a mini challenge is available for children under 3. More activities and details are available on the Summer Reading Challenge website.
