⚽️ What a thing of beauty! You may have spotted across the national news yesterday that Brighton & Hove Albion has confirmed plans for the UK and Europe’s first purpose-built women’s football stadium, one of only three worldwide!

The 10,000-capacity “built for her” ground will sit on Bennett’s Field next to the Amex, linked by a new bridge and sharing some facilities on men’s and women’s match-days. Designed specifically around elite female athletes, it will include tailored performance, recovery and changing spaces, plus family-friendly concourses and social areas to grow a loyal fanbase. The project is central to the club’s 2030 vision and follows major investment in the women’s setup at Lancing. Subject to planning approval from Brighton & Hove City Council and Lewes District Council, the club aims to open no later than the 2030/31 season, giving Albion Women a permanent, purpose-built home and cementing Brighton’s status as a global leader in the women’s game. 🍺 Everyone’s favourite independent local brewery Unbarred, is running a May Bank Holiday treasure trail across ten pubs, where participants solve riddles, drink local beer and crack a code for a chance to win free beer for a year. Ooooh I hear you say.

Across 29th April - 3rd May, follow the the trail which includes live music, food offers, quizzes and pop-up tastings, plus over 200 hidden instant prizes like merch, clothing and beer, which can be claimed by finding treasure chests in the pubs. To take part, you pick up a trail card at any participating venue, then buy an UnBarred beer at each stop to unlock a clue. Fill in all the answers and they’ll reveal a hidden word, which you then submit via a QR code on the trail map to enter the main prize draw. Doesn’t get much better of a weekend. 🥵 The Brighton Sauna Festival is a three-day beachfront takeover celebrating the UK’s modern coastal sauna scene. A pop-up “sauna village” of 20+ mobile saunas from across the country will line Brighton beach alongside Beach Box Spa, offering a mix of deep, meditative heat sessions, traditional rituals, whisking and lively, music-led Aufguss ceremonies.

Between steams, festival-goers can cool off in the sea and join shoreline activities designed to complement the hot–cold experience. Each session is 2 hrs and socialising is encoruaged, with a growing sauna community, festival vibes and an evening set from Rob da Bank and guests. Book Tickets
